Child's father comes home from Iraq in a box
This story isn't nearly as tragic as the headline would lead you to believe
Lately, a lot of the reporting about Iraq has centered on happy human interest stories like this one. From reading the papers here in the US, you'd think that the occupation had already ended. But of course, for many soldiers' families, there is no happy ending to the story:
And let's not forget that there are still dozens of killings every week in Iraq, and it's often parents who mourn the death of a child, not the other way around:

Such a tragedy. What useless creatures us humans are...no matter which side of any war, so many lives are in tatters...Americans, Iraquis, Palestinian, Israel...no matter your God, beliefs, colour of skin, culture....grief and loss is universal and we do this too each other. I fear we are not the enlightened beings we wish to be perceived as....
I think we're much too easily "led" than actually useless. Apart from the real evil one's who can so easily manipulate us - or rather, most of us.
They are all emperors without clothes but so many apathetic, selfish individuals don't have the courage to stand and shout it from the rooftops - or even from the pavements.
I wholeheartedly agree with both commentators.
If aliens came and watched humans for a while, they would shake their head in dismay, thinking "all these humans do is torture, kill, humiliate and hurt one another"...
Human history is full of tragedies.... :(
What THEY sow, WE must reap, or starve.
Stark choice isn't it? Choose between a rock and a hard place. Or between the devil and the deep blu sea.
Change will only ever be brought about by those of us at the bottom(the grass roots). Never by those at the top.
The mass media would have us believe all is now fine in Iraq. The truth is entirely different, as a few independent journalists are reporting. In particular, McClatchy Newspaper's Leila Fadel in Baghdad, and Dahr Jamail.

How many Jews did Hitler kill, really? Those killings were carried out by the bottom of the ladder scum, the vulgar masses of the human race.
Richard, where are you?
I miss your posts!!! :)
