John Prescott, British Deputy Premier As You May Never Have Seen Him Before...

*
Just about everybody and their dog have now had something or other to say about John Prescott and his alleged, recent remarks re: Bush being a crap cowboy -- or something similar -- or so we heard.

So, while we're still staying on the subject of dear old deputy leader, we've decided to offer you all something completely different -- angle-wise.

Okay, seconds out. Ding, ding. Round one.

Ha! So whadaya think of the show so far, eh?

Next we're going for a few more laughs.

Watch & listen to this 'YouTube' offering until the final still shot, since the further it goes along, the funnier it gets.

Incidentally, at the 'YouTube' page shown above, you can see some 'slow-mo', action replays of Prezza's punch-up.

Well, every now & again, a good old giggle does us good, eh?

I'd forgotten about the punch-up. Ha. Seems he's always been a popular guy - not.

Hilarious, Richard. I still hate his guts though. Another Old Labour (and Union man) who sold out those who got him where he was, and sould his own soul. I'll shed no tears if he loses his job and all the trappings & perks he's been enjoying for far too long.

Excellent, that's a wonderful portfolio of Prescott's career.

No doubt Prescott is absolutely fair game, but myself I can't help wondering what some these attacks (more generally) on Prescott are really about.

You kinda get the sense they represent an internal power struggle which is really about trying to kick out Blair from within, not because Blair's policies are vile evil (which they are) and causing enormous damage, but but to install Gordon Brown.

Someone is dishing up dirt on Prescott; possibly Gordon Brown or his supporters, to make Prescott's position ridiculous (which it already is, he's paid now to be an empty figurehead to support Blair and has no responsibilities himself anymore), with a view to triggering a deputy leader, then leadership election. Although they say technically it doesn't need to be triggered, the pressure on Blair would be enormous.

So IMHO every attack on Prescott has to also come with a massive disclaimer attached: NO GORDON BROWN, NO SMOOTH TRANSITION. Otherwise you are just going to swap out one problem with another possibly even worse.
