Breaking The Silence: By John Pilger ...

For we two to even attempt to compete with one of the world's bravest (and best), foreign correspondents and film makers, the international media hero, Australian born John Pilger -- would be silly. Since we'd lose the competition hands down.
Why? Because the man's a world beater;that's why.
He's the man who first broke the infamous story of 'The Killing Fields' to the horrified world at large.
Okay? 'Nuff said? An adequate/acceptable testimonial?
Now, our only other words to readers are those we'll use to thank all who helped the following footage finally find it's way onto This Old Brit's blog today. Leastwise, we thank all those involved who we are aware of. If we've missed anyone out, we apologize in advance and welcome any reminders.

thanks as always richard - though your link didn't work for me, I had to go directly to information clearing house and link from there.
Powerful film, highlighting the lies and deception and the perversion of words like freedom and torture and terrorist. We know who the terrorists are. John Pilger is matchless in his courage and clarity.
Superb. I'm guessing this was made a couple of years ago ? Pilger is a great man and what he says at the end is so important.
Great to see good guys like Ray McGovern in there.
It's just appalling to think that America has permitted these vile neocons to have a handle on policy and it is truly shocking in both the US and UK that we are where we are.
But as long as there are men like John Pilger out there and the many others fighting this evil, then there is hope for all of us.
Thank you J for also mentioning Ray McGovern- another great Truth Speaker....and hmm, another video I will try to post over on this side of the lake- I do know and respect Pilger's work- had no idea about this peace- so thank you for keeping us informed....Over 100,000- way to go- you all are amazing- I love your blog- and have since day one....We all are one world- and we will get it back on orbit here- and throw out the Criminals....We will NEVER give up...Ever.

What can one say about Pilger? Other than he's the exact opposite of all the media whores - he's a media hero. Always has been.
Thanks to all concerened, that film was well worth watching. I just hope some of those who still can't see 'it' might have the scales drop from their eyes - even if only a little.
Btw, I noticed on the google page that there's another Pilger film. I'll have to take a look later on. Has anyone else watched that one yet?
It's as well Pilger doen't live in the US. He'd probably have met with an accident before now. There are lots of accidents about over there, you know. Strange thing is, they always seem to happen to the good guys.

Bravo! Pilger needs a wider audience ~~ a much wider audience ~~ especially in the USA. I hope some of our American friends will put their weight (and time and efforts) behind such a task.

j.ul1r4: Those "vile neocons" are trying to stop organized terrorism. What are the libs doing? (Pantering, compromising, and giving the schoolyard bullies their lunch money). The best PR for terrorist organizations is the diatribe you read and hear in the lib media.
And, how old is the "Old Brit" anyway?
Don't know about aegist, but I see from his site he's a nationalist, rascist.
