Here's our emailed response:Mohammed's brother Ali died of his wounds today courtesy of shrapnel and flames caused by US missile strike.
He was 9.
Mike/Christina dont expect to hear anything from Mohammed until 40 day of the mourning period is over.Saba says US soldiers shot at Mohammed as he approached a roadblock they had set up and that he was carrying Ali in his arms trying to get to hospital. He also says that Ali was very badly burned and died screaming.
We'll be posting a death notice late tonight.

I don't have the words .... but in whatever way you can/will, please pass on sincere sympathies and heartfelt condolances.
May little Ali rest in eternal peace. May his murderers NEVER EVER do the same.

This is war, still an honorable US institution beloved of politicians, a means of forging warriors, creating heroes fit for a presidency, and the wanton destruction of innocents.

You know what those responsible will say? The same as they alwasys say. Bbbbbbut, bbbut this is WAR! Und anyvay, vee voz just following zee orders.
It's NOT a WAR you dishonest yankee idiots. The WAR lasted just a few days. The Iraqi army surrendered in no time flat. They knew they never stood a chance. Most of them wanted Saddamm out. They were looking forward to being liberated. They were looking forward to being freed.
At first they believed the US and UK but as it dawned on them that their country had been INVADED and was being OCCUPIED and they were being treated as shit on their ignorant occupying soldiers boots ... they began doing exactly what you or I would do under such circumstances.
They were patriots, who became the resistance, freedom fighters. But the yanks f*cked everything up so good that the likes of Al Q and assorted other nomarks 'walked in' - something they never did and never could have before the yanks took over.
The yanks were far too busy guarding yankee oil installations and such to worry about anything else.
Tell it like it is, Richard, murder pure and simple.
I am sickened and so very sad.

Richard thank you for this. Du has been in tears all yesterday. He's known Ali and Mohammed since they were born. I hate to think how Mohammed and Fatima must be feeling and Amen to what you wrote about those who killed him.
Will it never end? Will America's blood and oil lusts neber be satisfied?
God love little Ali and God damn his murderers and all their accomplices.

Now the USAF and the RAF are bombing the city of Basra ~ and it's HUMAN INHABITANTS too. Another unfortunate "collateral damage " story is no dounbt already cobbled together and waiting to be released when appropriate.
I wonder how many more innocent civilians (adults and children) will be dead+maimed by the US and UK before this latest air assault finishes?
And as usual of course, it's all being done "in our name" to "help bring freedom and democracy." Right?
