The Oldest Self Taught (Brilliant), Brit 'Geek' In The Blogosphere ...
So!
Stand up to be counted whoever the hell it was who said we were simply some eccentric old English, silly, senile sods.
And eat your hearts out assholes.
For some several blood, sweat and tear-filled weeks we've tirelessly toiled away at a truly titanic task. Well, it was for us anyway.
In fact, it's fair to say we've flat out flogged our flippin' fingers to the bloody bone.
And we do mean 'bloody'. Well ... almost.
However, finally, this Friday, in the best of the old British bulldog 'never surrender' spirit, we figured out all for ourselves how to once again facilitate our much missed COMMENTS' facility.
Moreover, in appreciation of the lovely loyalty shown by those who stuck by us throughout all our recent hi-tech trials & tribulations -- a few friends and ourselves have gotten together to celebrate our (not inconsiderable) success, with a small musical shindig of sorts -- and you are ALL invited.

Huh! That should teach those bad ass, Blogger-bugs a lesson -- DO NOT bugger about with old Brits!

wow. not.
Blow it out yer ass, anon, and be GONE.
Old Brit, I just love 'Rule Brittania' and am glad you posted the clip. The first time I ever heard it played live and fully orchestrated was on the White House lawn when P.M. Edward Heath paid an official visit to Pres. Nixon. (A close friend worked at the WH and got me a pass to be among the welcoming crowd.)
Quite a rousing air, it is! Right up there with 'La Marseillaise' for getting the blood pumping (but nowhere near as bloody in its lyrics).
Congrats on getting comments re-enabled, OB.
Hooray!
Hello there, I found you via Firedoglake this morning and saw that you're in Merseyside. Whenever I visit England I stay with my friend in Huyton. Great place to stay, and a good homebase for travelling around in the Pennines and Cumbria which I love to do. Cheers!
Thanks Mark, it's my pleasure, and good to 'see' you back.
Heloooo, Phoenix Woman, it's long time since I saw you at Tap but I heve seen you doing guest posts at Firedog lately. Brill! (Huh. But I can't even make it onto their bloomin' blogroll.
Seriously though, it's good to see you here too. Keep on bloggin'.
LoudounLib, cheers to you too and welcome. Small world ain't it? I'm about 40/45 minutes drive time from Huyton, right on the Sefton coast. Oh, btw, you must add North Wales/Snowdonia/etc to your itinery next time you're over here. If you like the lakes you'll like Snowdonia.
Richard,
Please ignore my post to you on Jultra's site.
Glad you have sorted it, glad I've sorted it!
Keep up the good work.

'bout time too.
No, really - well done Richard, I thought you'd gotten fed up with us all.
(Just joking of course.) :=}
