F*ck The Mentally Disabled And Orphaned And Foreign Kids ...
And before anyone thinks This Old Brit has finally gone totally blooming barmy -- no -- it's not him saying what's in today's blog-header-horriblis.
Nor is it Gary - the 'suffer little children' pervert - Glitter.
Nor is it a dozen or so civilised regular readers and posters here. Nor is it a handful of other similarly, socially conscienced small time bloggers.
But apparently it certainly seems like one helluva lot of others are openly admitting - by sins of omission - that that's exactly how they view things -- apropos this blog's previously published piece regarding the chemical experiments being touted in America, on poor 'no account' kids. Both at home and abroad.
Angry? Amazed? Appalled? Ashamed?
I should bloody well, say so. You bet I am. All of the above.
Moreover, maybe I've even become a bit obsessed.
A man on a mission? Maybe that too.
Unhealthy? Unrewarding? Useless? Well, you tell me.
This Old Brit and Richard just report. You decide.
Maybe things will have taken a turn for the better by tomorrow.
Maybe some others somewhere shall have snapped out of it, and also started shouting.
Who knows? Only time will tell. But time is already running short.
But for now, to coin a corny played out kind of phrase -- that is all.
So good night and good luck. Right now, some of us certainly need both.

Don't let go of this, Old Brit. Remember you're one of the bulldog breed. Kudos to you.
You indeed are a man on a mission and bless you for it- you have my support and shared wrath...Keep at it...
and keep bloggin'it...
( I updated http://watergatesummer.blogspot.com/, a lighter piece than last time...but still a read..)
I hope EVERYONE has DONE something about this - including signing/registering at original site quoted in Old Brit's first piece on this.
It's the LEAST anyone can do.
If you can name and shame some of these bloggers, I'll follow suit.
Okay,
Here's the latest on who's helping get this out via their blogs. And while I am extremely grateful to those listed below, the general overall response to others I'd hoped for more from -- has so far been positively UNDERwhelming.
Anyhow, Here are the good guys - so far.
News Dissector
Gert Meyer
Current Era
Doctor C.
The Moquol
Not forgetting dubhaltach who doesn't have a blog - but has helped a lot by canvassing around.
I'll update as & when there are more coming aboard.
And Gert, lets give it a little longer before getting too 'tough' - eh? I'm ever the optomist. Though I will say I've been particularly disappointed in some.
Bluey, Enigma and Anon,
Thanks for those encouraging & supportive comments.
ummmmm du does have a blog but it's part of a goldstarz site which means you need to be a member to see it.
Richard I can't do any more on this for a day or two because I'm "nurse" du for the lord and master who has a miserable fever thing bug and is miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiserableness made live and brought to earth right now.
But I have an idea to do some searches and draw up a hit-list. Then I post it here and we each agree to maybe do 5? And report back on results? I think as well we must remember that it is a holdiay in the US. So maybe we should wait until Thursday or Friday?
I'm famous! (or maybe infamous)
Go on over and write a caption you deserve the break
grania if you read this big hugs for email and I'll write back when the little fellow is not quite so demanding but he really is very miserable with this thing. Of course he didn't get it when all the other kids got it but at least if it goes like it did with everyone else he'll be fine in a day or two

Is what that link should be:
AAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Update --- Looks like Danny Scheter's News Dissector's site has been hacked -- AGAIN!!!
Wouldn't you just know it?
The good guys always "get" it, eh?. He was hacked about a week ago and was off the web for several days.
Seems some swine don't appreciate the truths he spreads.
It's now back up.
Also, someone who subscribes to his regular email updates [which I think I'll do from now on] tells me he's included the topic in his newsletter.
Well, that's great - because from what I hear, he has one big, big mailing list.
Slowly but surely.
More good news.
An old online acquaintance [@ Tapa forum] and best selling author, high profile blogger and learned NY University professor, Mark Crispin Miller has lent his considerable weight to This Old Brit's campaign. "Halt This Abomination!" demands Mark.
I've thanked him on line - along with the others who've helped - and suggest maybe some of you do the same. Good friends are hard to find - especially influential ones - and well worth holding on to.
Where there is life, their is always hope, eh?
Like another old Brit bulldog, Winston Churchill, always said:" Never give in. Never, never, ever give in".
Well, hopefully this story will gain a little more momentum, as so far it's "bombed" rather surprisingly. Compassion fatigue?
gert,
Maybe - but I'm sad to say I think it may be more like [deserved or not] a kind of collective shame among some.
hrmph. why is no one asking 'why?' why are these people think these things, why is welfare going down the drain, why dont we care anymore? and the people who do feel, who feel twinges of the 'shame', why dont they, why cant they, do more?
Hello Richard - you are doing a tremendous job getting this story out. I will certainly email your friend and thank him. I am very sad to say that I have to agree with Elaine (sad because it's glaringly obvious that as a nation we are a bunch of selfish, self-absorbed shits. I have stuck my neck out in my community for 'special needs children' and became an embarrassment to who. I am loathed to admit that nobody gives a rat's ass about our most dependent citizens. I could go on an on - but I won't - about my personal experiences when out with my autistic son. Yes I freely admit that I have threatened to knock an old lady's teeth out while at the checkout stand. Let's just further add that if I had access to WMDs my next door neighbour on one side would be history. NOBODY CARES UNLESS IT'S THEIR CHILD.
Thank you all for caring!
Welcome mels,
Why some people think those things is a big a mystery to all reasonable decent people, as it is to you and those of us here.
Ther are some who have no shame - nor morals nor scruples - usually due to their greed.
Thankfully, there are also those of us who do care and do 'feel'. We do what we can, in the ways that we can but, when we don't hold the power the others do, it's difficult and takes a long time. So we have to keep on trying - and keep on and on.
graniab,
Well, I'm trying - as best I can.
Like yourself, I have personal interests and knowledge related to these sorts of things - all very, very close to home. Believe me, I understand exactly what you're talking about - and have done for over 40 years.
Alas, with some, of all ages & backgrounds, ignorance will always be bliss. But eventually their 'turn' comes. Karma can't be beaten - delayed sometimes - but never beaten. I stake my life on that.
ZPTU7D The best blog you have!
