In case anyone's not impressed enough already, a Kos diarist's reporting that Obama wrote that whole speech HIMSELF.
There's no doubt that the man can talk the talk but, what matters most is whether he can ~ and will ~ walk the walk.
I hope so.

I think that most politicians would have rebuked Rev. Wright and walked away from the church. I think Bill Clinton's record of pulling appointees at the slightest hint of controversy shows that he would have tossed the good reverend under the bus. Obama's response to this controversy is a very encouraging sign of his willingness to fight.
I'm not impressed at all Richard. And I'm not a right-winger. I'm a socialist.
It's a pity Obama hadn't given his speech to the Reverend Wright at some time during his 20 years as one of his congregation.
The Reverend then might have used his time healing divisions isntead of causing them.
I'm a socialist too. That's why my first choice was (a dream I know) Denis Kucinich - 2nd Dean - 3rd Obama - 4th Hilary. I don't feel guilty about having an order of preference though, twilight - after all she is still a Democrat and surely 'everyone' can have their own order of preference without 'betraying' any other candidate.
I meant Edwards of course - not Dean. That's an example of a 'Freudian slip'. He should never have been sacrificed the way he was last time - by the big media whores.
I'd hate to have to vote for either Clinton or Obama. Talk about the devil and the deep blue sea.
IMOHO, Kucinich was the ONLY one genuinely deserving of the everyday people's vote.
