Palestinians Don't Do Thanksgiving Day ...

*
Today, as Israeli tanks continued to trundle through Gaza, and as all across America already adequately fed folk tucked into tasty turkey, we watched a very short video.

We'd like you to, too.

Especially since it will only take up (exactly), five minutes of your life.

Palestinians Don't Do Thanksgiving Day.

We thank you for your time.

And we hope you have a happy day.

I give thanks that I'm not a Palestinian forced by the Israelis to eek out an existance in one of those awful refugee camps.

I also give thanks that I'm not even a near neighbor of Israel. They see themselves of the 'Master-Race' of the middle east. How sickeningly ironic is that?

There are times when one has to believe that Israel actually enjoys never ending conflict ans so strives always to perpetuate it.

This (via the BBC today) is not the first time they've chosen to ignore the chance of peace.

Israel rejects ceasefire proposal

An Israeli ground offensive in Gaza continues, as does the bombing
Israel has dismissed an offer by Palestinian militant groups to stop firing rockets into Israel, if Israel ends attacks on Palestinians.
An Israeli government spokeswoman, Miri Eisen, said the militants had offered only a partial ceasefire.

She said the offer of an end to firing rockets from Gaza showed a lack of real commitment to peace.

The conditional Palestinian offer was made after a meeting on Thursday of all armed factions, including Hamas.

The militant group Hamas leads the Palestinian Authority.

Israel has in the past consistently rejected ceasefire offers by Palestinian militants, saying it refuses to do deals of any kind with what it describes as terrorist organisations.

Heartbreaking. It's easy to see why some of them choose to end their own lives - 'cos they don't really have any kind of life worth living do they?

This is indeed the case, Kiwi.
Israel's goal is to control the Middle East and it's resources. (Google Eretz Israel or Greater Israel). This will give it a dominant role in the world. To do that it must expand it's territories and to do that it must have wars, not peace.

Most of the terrorism is perpertrated by Mossad to paint the Palestinians and other Arabs as Jew hating belligerants who want nothing more than to kill every Jew they can. This then allows the Israelis to "defend" themselves with increasing brutality annexing territory and resources as they go.

I should add that when it comes to questions regarding Zionism, Wikipedia is somewhat.. how shall we say it... incomplete.

I linked it for the map which shows the territory "from the River of Egypt to the Euphrates".

But Israel (or should I say, the Zionists and those that bankroll them) can be assessed on their record. Never mind what they say, watch what they do and look to where it leads.

Or as Jesus put it, "By their fruits you shall know them"

Oh, and see here fo some of those resources I mentioned.
"But the real gem -- what one oil consultant called the "Holy Grail" of the industry -- lies in Iraq's vast western desert. It's one of the last "virgin" fields on the planet, and it has the potential to catapult Iraq to No. 1 in the world in oil reserves. Sparsely populated, the western fields are less prone to sabotage than the country's current centers of production in the north, near Kirkuk, and in the south near Basra. The Nation's Aram Roston predicts Iraq's western desert will yield "untold riches."

And through that western desert is an already existing pipeline to ... guess where... yes, Haifa!
And guess what else is in the western desert? Three huge US bases that happen to be situated along that very same pipeline.

And for why the US is backing Israel, see here and here
