Bush pardons Cheney, Rumsfeld for 9/11 attacks

cheney-rumsfeld.jpg
1975: Cheney and Rumsfeld begin assembling a team to execute and cover up the 9/11 attacks that would be carried out 25 years later. Eventually, the plot would grow to include dozens of military personnel, CIA agents, security guards, investigators, and media figures. Cheney and Rumsfeld's motive was to provide a pretext for joining an Iraqi invasion of Saudi Arabia and an Iranian invasion of Afghanistan, which is why all of the clues Cheney and Rumsfeld planted pointed to the Afghan government and to Osama bin Laden, the son of an influential Saudi businessman.

We always knew that the most controversial Bush pardons would come near Christmas, but nobody thought that he would be brazen enough to pardon his closest confidantes for their involvement in the 9/11 attacks:

President Bush issued sweeping pardons for Vice President Dick Cheney and former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld for any involvement they may have had in orchestrating the hijackings that took place on September 11, 2001. President Bush offered a brief statement to reporters gathered in the White House briefing room, but did not stay to field questions.

"Now, I'm not saying we had anything to do... I mean, I'm not saying THEY had anything to do with the September the eleven," said Bush. "I'm just saying that if they did have anything to do with it, which they didn't, then there will be no prosecution and so you all can stop your witch, um, you know, when you look for witches like they used to. Witch trials, or whatever you want to call them. You can stop."
White House press secretary Dana Perino refused to comment on the pardons, beyond pointing out that she was in California and the president was in Florida at the time of the attacks.

They are walking away with a smirky smile on their faces.... It scares me to think what kind of future we are leaving our children?

I also wrote on this subject in my blog.... It is a subject we should all be screaming loud and clear...!

Gordo, Duh!

In fact, double Duh!

It took you all this time to discover Rick Astley. I did, years ago. He's from just 20 miles up the road from me.

His biggest drawback was/is that he's TOO bloody GOOD. At least, he was first time around. Way ahead of his time ~ in a back to the future sort of way. Know what I'm saying?

Oh, one more thing. He's a 'seperated at birth' lookalike of my wife's first husband.

Hmmmm.

Also, in case anyone missed my Christmas Card edition ~~ all the very best to you all, and thanks for your own well wishes.

Richard--

That was the first Astley song I ever heard, so many years ago. My reaction was the same as yours. I was disappointed, though, that he never seemed to sing songs that I really likes. Amazing voice, but I'm not into those kinds of songs.

He's now enjoying a new career as an internet meme. Whenever you want to trick someone, you link to that video and pretend you're linking to something else. It's called a Rick Roll.

Unfortunately for Astley, internet memes get paid about as well as bloggers.

Is that a genuine photo? Cheney looks Jewish, and Rumsfeld looks like a pig's arse, which is an insult to pigs, in a way.

It's not only genuine but the original photo, before it was doctored by OFFICIAL GOOGLE CENSORSHIP, shows a smirking young GWB on their left.

I should have said on "their" right ~ meaning on the photo's left.

Anon--

When that photo was taken, both Cheney and Rumsfeld worked in the Ford administration. Cheney was Chief of Staff, and Rumsfeld was Secretary of Defense.

Rumsfeld has the distinction of being both the youngest and the oldest Secretary of Defense in American history.

Amazing!

So Rumsfeld looked like a pig's arse when he was younger, and still looks like one today!

And Cheney looked Jewish when he was younger, but now looks exactly like the foul evil psychopath he really is. Yes?

Thanks Gordo.
