Nothing ever changes, it was exactly the same in World War One: a load of aristocratic, elite, wankers in charge who couldn't organize a piss up in a brewery, let alone command an army. Then they all turn up at the Cenotaph once a year, dressed in their designer black macs draped with their hypocritical poppies, and pretend they care.

Yup. Once again it's "Lions led by donkeys."
Any fool can start a war.
It takes a lot of experience, foresight and courage to end one -- properly -- permanently.
Has there ever been a successful war?
By successful I mean no loss of innocent life, no blithering idiot miles from the battlefield wittering on about the "Great Sacrifice". Sure as hell he's not making it.
