21st Century Turkey: An Extra Step In The Right Religious Direction ...

Expected to expire in 24/48 hours.

(The sickness certificate -- not us!)

In the meantime, we strongly suggest seeing this brand new, moderate modern Muslim message.

Turkey in radical revision of Islamic texts.

It seems to us that so many fundy/faux/counterfeit Christian countries (such as the US), could learn a hell of a lot from this super-sensible story, fresh from (secular)Turkey.

Richard,

I hope you are feeling better soon. All your friends at TAPA are wondering how you and the Missus are doing, particularly in regards to the earthquake we're reading about.

Please, drop in occasionally, you are missed by all, especially me.

Your Friend,

Didius

I hope you're soon well again too, Richard. And incidentally, when's your next trip to Turkey? I suppose it means we'll have to manage without you (again) for a while when you do go.

Richard,
I am all the way with you on this. I love this country. I think Arab countries should folow the example. I read recently Orhan Pamuk's novel 'Snow'. For someone who knows the country and the political and social issues the novel, although very sad, is a delight.

Here's similar good news ~ from Pakistan of all places.

Clip:

Monday's elections saw an overwhelming vote for parties that advocate secularism, or the separation of religion from politics. "
