America's Approaching Elections ...

Realizing how rapidly some rather important American elections were approaching, prompted Richard to reminisce.
From among resulting related recollections, Richard recalled this famous 'Daily Mirror' front page.

Then, Richard remembered another (very, very), relevant image.
Get the picture(s)?
See what Stalin said?
See what Richard's saying?

You said it, Richard! As long as we have TS machines counting votes, we'll never have an honest election.
Maybe it's not who counts the votes but how the votes are counted, if the Presidental Election was a first past the post system like our (UK) Westminster elections Kerry would have won.
Keith--
How would Kerry have won under that system? That might have helped Gore, but as far as I know, the dumb people would still have prevailed in 2004.
yeah, but they keep on taking it laying down
why?
One of the things that always amazes me about the US is that it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more conformist and respectful of authority than we are here in Europe.
I think that has a lot to do with it. Europeans learnt what that leads to .... America is about to.
Why worry? What difference will it make if the Dems take charge? Where do any of their policies (if they have any, 'cos if they do they sure keep 'em sceret) differ much from those of the filthy rich already effing things up for everyone ('cept themselves)?
The Dems don't even hardly ever vote against the Repugs. Why? 'Cos they're only in it to look after themselve too - not you or me.
Face it. It's too late now. Folk have been way too apathetic for way too long. Btw, I'm talking a couple decades not years.
Approaching "elections"?
Surely you mean "selections" - again.
I loved the first cover.
